Hi everyone!! Welcome to my first blog!! I will be using this blog to share all the updates on my mission trip! Tomorrow, I leave for Gainesville, GA where I will spend a week at training camp and then from there will head to Guatemala with my team!

I wanted to use this first post to share a little bit about how I got here! The Lord began to place missions on my heart several years ago. Whenever I heard about going into the nations to share the gospel talked about, I felt a little tug on my heart. At first, I had no idea what to do with that calling, but it just continued to grow over time. Then, last fall, I decided to look into what options were out there and found out about World Race. I decided to take a leap of faith and apply for one of the summer trips. Soon after, I was accepted and began the journey of preparing to spend a month in Guatemala!

A verse that keeps coming to mind when I think of this trip is Isaiah 6:8 which says “here I am Lord, send me.” This verse truly captures the heart posture I have towards this trip. The Lord has called us to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19). I am willing and able to go, so why not go? There are many reasons I could offer about not feeling qualified for this trip. However, the Lord has so beautifully reminded me over the past several months that He does not expect perfection, but obedience. This trip is all about Him and what he is already doing in the lives and hearts of the people in Guatemala and I just get to join in on that. I can rest knowing that he will use every broken part of me for His glory, and what a wonderful truth that is!

I would greatly appreciate prayers over these next several weeks! Prayers for peace as I settle into this new season as there are a lot of unknowns, prayers for safe travels for my entire team and  prayers for the people that we meet in Guatemala, that the Lord would begin working in their hearts even now and that they would be open to hearing and receiving the gospel.

Thank you for following along and joining me on this adventure! I can’t wait to continue to share all that the Lord does through this trip!!
